Kindling...

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 20:9b. "His word burns in my heart like a fire. It's like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can't do it!" There are many times when I read God's word or when I fellowship with Christian friends that I feel just like this. As I was working one night, I began to consider why I don't feel this "fire" more often. That's when the idea of kindlingkimberly was born. This blogspot is to help us see God in the small things everyday. These small glimpses of glory can be a kindling for the "fire" I want to always burn bright in me and to shine out to others.

  1. Kimberly it's so encouraging to hear someone say [basically] that they are hungry for more of the Lord and recognize something is missing when there is no fire. I know I am in that category called "old people" but PTL I still am so hungry for more of Him.
I long for being surrounded by people who are not satisfied with what God has done for them ... Read Morein the past but are hungry for and look fwd to what He can still do in our lives TODAY and TOMORROW..

And in line with your initial thought..yo u can't have a fire without something to start it..kindling. Please continue to share your thoughts..perhaps you can be kindling for ME!!
